REACENT INDE. READING BOOK: The Skin I'm In

Well, this book is the story of a seventh grader named Maleeka. Maleeka has very dark black skin. She used to be proud of it, but when her father died, kids started picking on her. Char, the most popular girl in the grade, makes a deal with Maleeka that if she does her home work, Char will stick up for her, and Maleeka can hang out with her. A new teacher arrives, Miss Saunders. She too gets made fun of because she has a big blotch on her face, which is a birth mark. So far that's what I've read, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books because I think at the end Maleeka will end up being proud of her skin.

MY BOOK "THE CHILD CALLED IT "

WELL I LOVE THIS BOOK. I WAS PRETTY SAD BUT IF U LIKE LIKE SAD BOOKS THEN YOU'LL LOVE IT. THE BOOK IS ABOUT A BOY WHO GET ABUSE BY HIS MOTHER. THE BOY "CHARLIE" HAS TWO OTHER BROTHERS AND THEY DON'T GET ABUSED. HIS DAD WORKS A LOT SO HE IS CONSTANTLY GETTING ABUSED. WHEN HIS DAD IS HOME HIS MOM DOESN'T REALLY ABUSE HIM SO HE FEELS LIKE HIS DAD IS HIS PROTECTOR. I FEEL REALLY SAD FOR HIM.

reflection on the alchemist and inde. book!

Well, the alchemist has been a little confusing because at the end he ends up were he started, the church. Santiago is a person that does not want to give up on any opportunity on finding his treasure. i guess it was a good thing he ends up having that dream because without it he would have never really found his personal legend or he would have never meet the English man or the king. other than that the book I'm reading is the child called it. to me it is a very good book because it tells such a sad story but in a specific way the author wrote it. it made me think of all those kids and children getting abused by their parent or guardian everyday. it makes me think what a brutal life they are having and how do they deal with it and how lucky some spoiled kids are.
